Description
Pulpdent Porcelain Etch Gel is a 9.6% buffered hydrofluoric acid gel used to etch the intaglio surface of porcelain restorations (veneers, inlays, onlays, crowns) prior to silane treatment and resin cementation. The tinted gel is clearly visible during placement and rinses cleanly to expose the micro-roughened porcelain surface essential for durable resin bonding.

Ultradent Porcelain Etch® or Bisco Porcelain Etchant — Pulpdent Porcelain Etch Gel is the direct equivalent at a lower cost per syringe.
Key Features
- 9.6% buffered hydrofluoric acid — optimal porcelain etch concentration
- Tinted gel — easy chairside visualization
- Etches feldspathic porcelain, lithium disilicate (e.max), and most leucite-reinforced ceramics
- Single-use applicator tips for precise intraoral application
- 1.2 mL syringes for kit, 3 mL syringe for bulk refill
Indications
- Intraoral repair of porcelain restorations
- Surface preparation of porcelain veneers, inlays, onlays, crowns prior to cementation
- Bonding to lithium disilicate or feldspathic ceramic
How To Use
- Isolate the porcelain surface and protect surrounding tissue (use Kool-Dam if available)
- Apply Porcelain Etch Gel to the porcelain surface — etch for 60–90 seconds for feldspathic porcelain, 20 seconds for lithium disilicate (e.max)
- Rinse thoroughly with water and air-dry
- Apply silane (e.g., Pulpdent Silane), air-dry
- Apply bonding agent and proceed with resin cementation
