The NIC U+ File is a classic-sequence rotary nickel-titanium endodontic system featuring Max Tech 6.0 heat-treatment, convex triangular cross-section, and variable taper geometry. The familiar SX → S1 → S2 → F1–F5 sequence delivers safe, predictable shaping with maximum dentin preservation across the full range of clinical cases.

ProTaper Gold® or ProTaper Universal® (Dentsply Sirona) — the NIC U+ is the direct equivalent. Same SX/S1/S2 shapers, same F1–F5 finishers, same workflow, same shapes. Continuous rotation compatible with any standard endo motor, at a fraction of the cost.

- SX — expand the canal orifice (19/.04, 19 mm)
- S1, S2 — shape coronal 2/3 (18/.02, 20/.04)
- Re-scout apical 1/3 with hand files; follow S1, S2 to working length
- F1, F2 — finish the apical 1/3 (20/.07, 25/.08)
- F3 (30/.09), F4 (40/.06), F5 (50/.05) — when needed for wider canals
- Recommended motor: continuous rotation, 300 RPM, 1.5–3.0 N·cm torque
