The NIC X+ File is a heat-treated nickel-titanium rotary endodontic system featuring Max Tech 3.0 processing — yielding a distinctive gold appearance, balanced cutting efficiency, flexibility, and resistance to cyclic fatigue. The off-centered rectangular cross-section produces a swaggering motion that follows the natural canal anatomy for safer, more efficient shaping.

ProTaper Next® (Dentsply Sirona) — the NIC X+ is the direct equivalent. Same X1–X5 sizing concept, off-centered cross-section, and similar gold heat-treatment chemistry, at a fraction of the cost. Continuous rotation compatible with any standard endo motor.

How To Use
- Scout and explore the canal with SS K-File #10 and #15
- Establish glide path with NIC T+ or PRG glide path file
- Shape with X1 (yellow) using brushing motion in 3–4 passes until working length
- Continue with X2 (red) until working length
- Step up to X3 (blue), X4 (black), X5 (yellow) for thicker canals as needed
- Recommended motor: continuous rotation, 300–500 RPM, 1.5–3.0 N·cm torque
