Description

EBIKO dental mixing wells are disposable white plastic trays with round, numbered wells for holding and mixing small amounts of material, such as adhesives and cements. Choose 2-well trays (500 per pack, C$29.99, about 6 cents a tray) or 4-well trays (200 per pack, C$18.99, about 9.5 cents a tray). EBIKO ships from Ontario across Canada, priced in Canadian dollars.

What is in the pack

  • 2-well trays: rectangular, with two round wells, 500 per pack.
  • 4-well trays: square, with four round wells, 200 per pack.
  • Numbered wells: a small number is moulded beside each well (1 to 2, or 1 to 4), so you can keep materials apart.
  • White plastic for single use. The trays stack inside each other.

Frequently asked questions

What is a mixing well used for in dentistry?

A mixing well holds a few drops of material, such as an adhesive (bonding agent), so you can pick it up with an applicator or mix a small amount. Disposable wells are thrown away after use, so there is nothing to clean.

What is the difference between a mixing well and a dappen dish?

Both hold small amounts of material. A dappen dish is usually a single small dish, while a mixing well tray puts two or four wells side by side on one tray. See our disposable dappen dishes.

Are these mixing wells reusable?

No. They are disposable plastic wells for single use. If you want something you can clean and reuse, a glass dappen dish is a reusable alternative.

Should I buy 2-well or 4-well mixing wells?

Choose by how many materials you use at once. The 2-well tray suits one or two materials; the 4-well tray keeps up to four apart. Per well, the 4-well pack costs less: about 2.4 cents a well, against about 3 cents for the 2-well pack.

Do these mixing wells have lids?

No. They are open wells with no lid, so dispense only what you need, just before you use it.
