Description
The EBIKO Silicone Polisher is a heat-resistant resin-bonded silicone polishing point set for high-luster polishing of composite, amalgam, and resin restorations. The single-step formulation delivers a glass-smooth final polish without the need for separate polishing paste, while three shape options let clinicians match the polisher to the anatomy being polished.
If You Currently Use…
Shofu One Gloss, Komet Diatech ComposiSculpt, 3M Sof-Lex Diamond Polishing System, or NTI Premium White Polishers — the EBIKO Silicone Polisher is the direct equivalent silicone polishing system at a fraction of the cost per piece.
Key Features
- Heat-resistant silicone with bonded abrasive — polishes without burning the composite surface
- Single-step finishing & polishing — no need for separate polishing paste
- Three shape options for any anatomy:
- Cup — concave surfaces, occlusal anatomy, buccal/lingual
- Disc — flat and proximal surfaces, interproximal contacts
- Points (flame/tapered) — pits, fissures, lingual concavities
- RA (latch-type) mandrel — fits all standard slow-speed contra-angle handpieces
- Recommended speed: 5,000–10,000 RPM (slow-speed, light pressure, water spray)
- Autoclavable at 134 °C for re-use
- 25 polishers per pack
Workflow
For a complete 2-step composite finishing & polishing workflow:
- Finish the composite with the EBIKO Diamond Twist Composite Polisher (Coarse → Medium → Fine spiral brushes) to remove gross irregularities
- Polish to high luster with the matching EBIKO Silicone Polisher shape for the surface being polished
- Optional final step: diamond polishing paste for mirror finish
How To Use
- Complete contouring with carbide finishing burs
- Select the polisher shape matching the surface anatomy (Cup for concave, Disc for flat/proximal, Points for fissures/concavities)
- Mount in a slow-speed contra-angle handpiece
- Apply light pressure at 5,000–10,000 RPM with water spray
- Use intermittent touch-and-lift motion to avoid heat buildup
- Dispose after each patient or sterilize for re-use (autoclave 134 °C)
Indications: Polishing of direct composite restorations, compomers, amalgams, and glass ionomer surfaces.
