Description
EBIKO self-sealing sterilization pouches (also called autoclave pouches or sterilization bags) package dental instruments for the sterilizer. Each pouch has a peel-and-seal adhesive strip and printed Class 4 process indicators for steam (turns black) and EO gas (turns yellow). Eight sizes from 2.25 × 4 in to 7.5 × 13 in, 200 pouches per box, from C$6.99 a box (about 3.5 cents a pouch).
What is on every pouch and box

- Two process indicators: an "S" dot (steam, turns black) and an "EO" dot (EO gas, turns yellow). The box is marked Internal & External Duo Indicator and Class 4.
- See-through film on one side so you can check the contents without opening the pouch.
- Size and REF (SKU) printed on each box; box labels in English and French.

Who uses sterilization pouches
Any setting that steam-sterilizes reusable instruments: dental and hygiene clinics, medical and walk-in clinics, foot care and podiatry, tattoo and piercing studios, nail and esthetics salons, and veterinary clinics. You do not need to be a dental office to order.
Frequently asked questions
What does Class 4 mean on a sterilization pouch?
It refers to the printed chemical indicator. Under ISO 11140-1, a Class 4 (multi-variable) indicator reacts to two or more critical cycle variables. A colour change shows that the pouch went through a process. It does not by itself prove the contents are sterile.
Are sterilization pouches reusable?
No. Each EBIKO pouch is printed with the single-use ("do not reuse") symbol. Once a pouch has been opened, use a new pouch for the next cycle. The pouch is also printed: do not use if the pouch is damaged, and store in a cool, dry place.
How do self-sealing sterilization pouches work?
Put the clean, dry instruments in the pouch, peel the liner off the adhesive strip, fold the flap along the line and press it flat to seal. After the cycle, check that the printed indicator has changed colour (black for steam, yellow for EO gas) before storing the pouch.
Are sterilization pouches the same as autoclave bags?
Yes. Sterilization pouches, autoclave pouches, autoclave bags and sterilization bags are all names for the same kind of packaging.
Do I still need an indicator inside the pouch?
Many monitoring programmes add an internal chemical indicator to each package and run regular spore tests. Follow your setting's procedure. Our Class 5 indicator strips fit inside these pouches.
Which side goes up in the autoclave?
Follow your sterilizer's loading instructions. A common practice is to place pouches on their edge, or paper side to film side, so steam can reach every pouch.
Do you ship sterilization pouches across Canada?
Yes. EBIKO ships from our Ontario warehouse to clinics across Canada, priced in Canadian dollars.
