Description
The NIC PRG File is a single-file glide path nickel-titanium instrument with a progressive taper and Max Tech 3.0 heat-treatment — engineered for fast, safe glide path preparation with enhanced flexibility, durability, and cutting efficiency. The fine ISO 16 tip and progressive taper allow smooth coronal-to-apical advancement in curved canals while preserving the original anatomy.
If You Currently Use…
ProGlider® (Dentsply Sirona Glide Path File) — the NIC PRG is the direct equivalent: same single-file glide path concept with progressive taper geometry, at a fraction of the cost. Use before any rotary shaping system (NIC X+, KV Blue, U+, W+).
NIC T+ vs NIC PRG
Both are NIC glide path single-files. T+ File uses a constant .02 taper (analogous to a 17/.02 hand-file form). PRG uses a progressive taper for smoother shaping transitions and reduced screwing-in. Choose PRG for curved canals where progressive coronal flare is desirable.
Key Features
- Single-file glide path system — ProGlider-style design
- Progressive (variable) taper — variable taper geometry for smooth transitions and reduced screw-in effect
- Max Tech 3.0 heat-treated NiTi (Gold) — high cutting efficiency and cyclic-fatigue resistance
- ISO 16 tip with .02 starting taper
- Three working lengths — 21 mm, 25 mm, 31 mm
- White ISO color band
- Autoclavable, multi-use, 6 files per pack
How To Use
- Scout with SS K-File #10 to establish patency
- Run PRG in continuous rotation to develop the glide path
- Follow with your rotary shaping system (X+, KV Blue, U+, W+)
